David Haye to defend WBA Title against Audley Harrison on November 13th

Its official, David Haye will defend his WBA Heavyweight Title against former European Champion and 2000 Olympics Super-Heavyweight Gold Medallist Audley Harrison. In a press conference broadcast live on Sky Sports News it was confirmed that the two would meet at the Manchester Evening News Arena on November 13th and that the fight will be televised on Sky Box Office. It is expected that it will be shown as part of a double-header with Pacquiao-Margarito.

MMA fighter and former girlfriend found dead, police suspect homicide-suicide

The Huffington Post reports the sad news that MMA fighter Kenny Trevino and his former girlfriend Tiffanie Perry were found dead on Sunday at Trevino’s home in Austin, Texas. The police believe that Trevino murdered Perry and then killed himself. They quote reports from the local press that the two had recently split up leaving Trevino ‘despondent’. Trevino had fought seven times for local promotions, and had last fought at Shark Fight 9 in March.

Shinya Aoki will next defend his Dream lightweight title against Marcus Aurelio at Dream 16. Aoki is coming off a quick submission victory over Tatsuya Kawajiri while Aurelio is on a two-fight win streak since being cut from the UFC after losing to Evan Dunham. He will be making his Dream debut. Also announced for Dream 16 are Takeshi Inoue vs. Kazuyuki Miyata and Hideo Tokoro vs. Joachim Hansen. Dream 16 takes place at Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan and will be broadcast live in North America by HD Net.
